I just wanted to post a quick notice for anyone interested in following: Jason and I (along with several UCF students) got an early start this morning to head south on a collecting trip to the Florida Keys. Our target organisms for thus trip are water snakes (Nerodia sp.) ringneck snakes (Diadophis punctatus) and raccoons (Procyon lotor), but as always I’ll keep you informed on all of the exciting things we find. We’ve already seen 13 species of bird in the first 2 hours on the road. Here’s a quick photo of the road to get the trip started:
